Steps to apply for Temporary Mexico Vehicle Permit online, which can be requested 10 to 60 days prior entering Mexico :
Step One: Apply for pre-authorization ONLINE at INM
(National Institute of Immigration) by logging at this website: https://www.inm.gob.mx/sae/publico/en/pre-autorizacion.html if you need assistance filling out this form contact Jorge Gonzalez he can assist you for a fee. ( Mexican Citizens do not require pre-authorizatin, only foreigners).
Step Two: Apply for the Temporary Vehicle Permit online at Banjercito which is authorized by SAT, to issue the permits > https://www.banjercito.com.mx/registroVehiculos/ then follow the instructions.
Step Three: Stop at the border and validate your FMM FORM at the INM National Institute of Immigration
Foreigners (Non Mexican) with Temporary Resident Card, the expiration date of (TIP PERMIT) will be the same as their immigration status and its renewals as long as they are sequential. If the Temporary Resident Card is renewed or obtained first time the applicants must submit a notice in writing and copy of the filing receipt which contain NUT # and the TIP PERMIT, to any Customs office within 15 days of the date of the immigration document was filed first time or renewed. if the applicant fail to do it the bond may not be refunded.
